Patient Services
All patients at Leimkuehler's receive individualized attention that focuses on caring
and commitment. As part of the fitting process patients will be guided through these
steps with our quality staff.
Initial Evaluation:
Together with the physician and rehabilitation specialists, we assess the total
individual in terms of function, cosmesis, and comfort.
Custom Design and Fitting:
Each prosthesis or orthosis is designed for the specific patient though the use of
casts, measurements, and working models.
First Fitting and Alignment:
Our specialists ensure that component parts meet specifications for maximal fit and
comfort. Alignment is adjusted to individual gait and balance.
Final Fitting:
Following a complete check of the prosthesis or orthosis, the patient is instructed in
its use.
- Ongoing Concern and Caring:
- Patients are checked periodically to ensure continuing fit, alignment, and function, as
activity increases.
Hospital Calls and Home Visits:
We do make hospital calls. For our patients with transportation problems, we can
make home visits. However, it is necessary to charge for these services. |
